The problem
Students worldwide encounter challenges in discovering and comparing colleges due to fragmented information and a lack of multilingual support. The admissions process is often hindered by language barriers, limiting access to reliable, real-time insights and personalized guidance, which can affect decision-making and lead to missed opportunities.
Enhanced College Discovery Tools
We developed a comprehensive platform that consolidates detailed college profiles and comparison features. This approach simplifies the research process, allowing students to easily evaluate institutions based on key criteria like programs, campus facilities, and costs.
Peer Reviews and Posts
To provide authentic insights, we integrated a feature for peer reviews and posts. Students can read and contribute real experiences, offering valuable perspectives on campus life and academic environments, which aids in making more informed decisions.
Real-Time Mentor Chats
Our platform includes a real-time chat feature connecting students with experienced mentors. This enables personalized advice on college selection and application strategies, helping students navigate the admissions process with expert support.
Multilingual Support
To address language barriers, we implemented multilingual support across the platform. This feature ensures students from diverse linguistic backgrounds can access and navigate the platform in their preferred language, improving accessibility and user experience.
Next-generation learning experiences
The flexibility of the product allowed for developers to create engaging interactive experiences as highly configurable plugins that could then be used and manipulated by learning designers.
Bringing 3D into learning
One really cool example is the 3D screen plugin. Learning designers can load any model into it and then configure camera positions to animate to for each section.
Interactivity
Learners can then be directed to specific parts of the model and shown labels. They’re also able to click and drag to orbit around and freely explore at any time.
Animation
Learning designers can pick an animation included in the model to play or loop for any section without having to use any complex animation tools.

The PanoramaED project enhanced the college search process by integrating global college comparisons, peer reviews, real-time mentorship, and multilingual support.
